Creative Chinese Dragon workshops with Barnsley College students
Panni Poh Yoke Loh worked with Barnsley College students from the Production Arts BTEC Extended Diploma, using gentle fresh air warm up exercises, movement to music, expressive painting to give inspiration for the building of a unique Barnsley College Chinese Dragon ready for 2012 the year of the dragon.
Lee Flint, Course Leader Production Arts BTEC Extended Diploma said:
‘The student’s preparatory work for their Chinese Dragon puppet was energised by Panni’s guidance, spiritually and delicacy of touch. Panni introduced the students to a holistic approach to making art with an emphasis on Eastern philosophy, ritual and tradition. Panni provided authentic meaning to what might have otherwise been an unconfident exploration of Chinese cultural symbols. Thank you, Panni from all the team!’
